Meet George Williams III

Founder and President | Licensed Insurance Professional

Ask George Williams what he is most passionate about, and the founder and president of Williams Financial Group will answer with a single but powerful word: people. “The thing that makes us different is our care for people,” he says. “We really care for the people who come in to see us.”

George founded Williams Financial Group in 2013, several years after seeing his parents receive devastating financial advice and watching his father-in-law deal with a pension cut. Inspired to be a strong financial steward and help others avoid the financial missteps that once plagued his parents, George now dedicates his life to helping others confidently pursue their retirement dreams and goals. “My job is to make their vision come true,” he says.

George and his wife, Stacia, co-founder of the firm, are co-authors of the book “Faith, Family, Finance: Your Blueprint to a Successful Retirement.” George, who became a licensed insurance professional and studied financial management at Park University in Parkville, Missouri, has also been invited to speak before the Missouri Baptist Union, the YMCA and numerous retirement communities.

A strong community supporter, George serves on two boards of directors: Urban Scholastic Center, a nonprofit organization that introduces children to Christ through a variety of activities and outreach efforts, and Commissioned to Heal, a nonprofit serving Kansas City-area residents suffering from addiction, homelessness and other issues. George and his sons regularly support the Commissioned to Heal food pantry on weekends, helping with everything from unloading trucks to stocking the pantry.

In his free time, George loves spending time with Stacia and their five beautiful children: Anastasia, Geordan, Gabrielle, Grant and Giselle. He is also a self-described “endurance junkie” who has conquered the 29029 Everesting Challenge and enjoys working out, cycling, running and other outdoor activities.
